Woman Gets A Nasty Note After Neighbors Saw Her Walking Through Her Home Naked

You should be able to wear what you want in your own home, right? Not necessarily according to one woman’s neighbors.

Alex Taylor is a mother of two who lives in Essex, England. She shared that at night before going to sleep, it is part of her usual routine to walk through the house making sure doors are locked and lights are turned off. That sounds fine and normal. It’s hard to complain about someone turning off the lights in her home and locking doors before going to sleep, but her neighbor managed to find something to complain about.

Apparently, her neighbor and possibly her neighbor’s children happened to look outside in the direction of Taylor’s home one night while she was turning off the lights and locking the doors. While the lights were still on and it was dark outside, they could apparently see Taylor inside her home, and they didn’t like what they saw.

Around 8:30am the next morning, when Taylor was about to leave for work, she found a note on the windshield of her car. The note read, “It would be very much appreciated if you could unleast shut your blinds when walking naked around your house…my kids do not and would not like to see your a** out on the show. Much appreciated. Your neighbours.” After the text, the neighbors drew a picture of a hand making a peace sign.

While the neighbors may have meant well, what they actually did was confuse and infuriate Taylor who claims she was far from naked. She shared, “It’s the most bizarre thing that’s ever happened to me, I can’t get my head round it. I wasn’t walking around naked. I was wearing a t-shirt and French knickers – they covered a lot of my bum. To be honest they’re lucky because normally I walk around in a lot less than that. I just went round as I normally do, locking up and turning all the lights off. They’re lucky they caught me quite covered up on this occasion.”

While Taylor didn’t like the note, she also didn’t in any way feel embarrassed by what her neighbors saw – quite the opposite. She explained, “I’m very comfortable in my own skin, I have no problem with the way I look. I’m not too sure what their upbringing is to think that that’s an issue but also to think it’s ok to look in someone else’s home and tell me how to dress.”

Taylor posted the note on social media and received many comments agreeing with her that her neighbors were in the wrong and that she was in the right.

Another thing Taylor mentioned that bothered her about the note was that her neighbors left a note instead of talking to her in person. She explained, “I was so livid that someone had the audacity, who is supposed to be my neighbour, to go out of their way and leave a note on my windscreen rather than just knocking on the door and confronting me about it. The fact they had to leave a note on my car rather than confront me face to face shows they weren’t very confident in their argument. Maybe they’re just not confrontational, but for me if I’ve got a problem I’ll quite happily say it to someone’s face.”

How would you react if someone left a note on your car criticizing the way you dressed in your own home? Do you think the neighbors were out of line, or do you think Taylor should keep her blinds closed?
