Wife Of John Schneider, Star Of ‘Dukes of Hazzard’, Dies At 53

Entertainment Tonight

On Wednesday, “Dukes of Hazard” star John Schneider shared the sad news of his wife’s death on social media. Schneider referred to his late wife, Alicia Allain, as his “Smile.” She was 53 years old.

In Schneider’s first post about his wife’s passing, he shared two pictures, one of Allain and one of Schneider holding Allain’s hand. Schneider wrote, “My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus.” He asked for fans to “respect our privacy” and to share “any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other.” He concluded the post by asking fans to “hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel.”

The next day, Schneider shared another post about his late wife. This time he posted a picture that was most likely taken around Christmas since there is a Christmas tree in the background. In the photo, Allain is sitting in a chair while Schneider stands next to her, leaning down with his head resting on top of her head.

Schneider wrote, “This is a time of unimaginable sorrow for me. Grief is much too small a word.”

Schneider continued by calling Allain his “inspiration” and his “fuel” for all of his dreams. He explained that she was “The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together.” He added, “I miss her more than any words could possibly describe. Pain is too small a word. Grief is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word.”

He took the opportunity to ask for prayer and to request that if anyone runs into him in real life not to ask him how he’s doing. He responded that the answer would be “broken” and he doesn’t feel up to talking about it at this time.

No cause of death has been released publicly for Allain at this time, but in 2020, the couple did explain that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
