Todd And Julie Chrisley’s Newest Sad News

In 2022, reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley of the show “Chrisley Knows Best” were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. The couple claims they are innocent, but regardless, they were sentenced to a combined prison sentence of 19 years.

Both Todd and Julie turned themselves in earlier this year, in January 2023. Todd is now serving a 12-year prison sentence in a Pensacola, Florida prison, while Julie is serving 7 years in a prison hundreds of miles away in Lexington, Kentucky.

The couple’s oldest daughter, Savannah Chrisley, recently spoke out about what it is like for her parents in prison. She is using her podcast, “Unlocked w/ Savannah Chrisley,” as a platform to speak out for her parents and to speak out about the state of the prisons where they are located.

Savannah’s brother Chase Chrisley joined her on the recent podcast, where they explained some of the horrible living conditions their parents are facing behind bars. For example, neither prison has air conditioning even though they are located in states where it can get very hot outside. In addition, in Julie’s prison, poisonous snakes slithering on the floor of the prison are not uncommon. Savannah also claims that the prisons are unsafe because of health concerns, including mold, asbestos, and lead-based paint.

Savannah acknowledged that the prisons obviously aren’t going to be luxurious like “the Four Seasons” or another nice hotel, but they don’t think it’s right that the condition of the prisons is this bad. She also claims that the prisons are hiding the true condition of the facilities from the health inspectors.
