Soap Star’s Daughter has Passed Away

Actress Erika Slezak is best known for her role as Victoria Lord on the soap opera “One Life to Live.” According to IMDB, she has also acted in several other projects including TV movies “Full Circle” and “Next Stop, Christmas” as well as TV series “Special Unit 2” and “Blue Bloods.”

While the life of her character on “One Life to Live” is certainly interesting, back in 1992, Erika told Entertainment Tonight, “I’ve got a much more interesting life at home, thank goodness.”

Erika was married twice. Her first marriage was to R. Daniel Mooney, but their marriage ended in divorce. Her second marriage was to Brian Davies. They got married in 1978, and they are still married to this day. They also have two children together. Unfortunately, one of those children recently died.

Erika and Brian’s daughter, 42-year-old Amanda Elizabeth Davies “died very suddenly” according to the most recent post on Erika’s website. The update was only two sentences long and did not include a cause of death. The announcement simply stated, “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies who died very suddenly. The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”

Amanda did not follow her mother into acting, but she did appear on TV back in 2002. Her resemblance to her mother made her the perfect casting choice to play a younger version of her mother’s character in a series of flashbacks on “One Life to Live.”

“One Life to Live” aired from 1968 through 2012. The show briefly came back in 2013, but it has not aired since. Since then, Erika has only acted in a handful of projects.

Upon hearing the sad news of Amanda’s death, TV journalist MIchael Fairman wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “This just broke my heart. My thoughts are with dear Erika at this time. I know how much she loved her children.”

According to PEOPLE, Amanda is survived by her mother, father, and her older brother, Michael Davies. Watch the video below for more details about this sad news.
