Singer and Brother Of One Of The Backstreet Boys Dies At 34

First, Nick Carter rose to fame as a member of The Backstreet Boys, but he wasn’t the only famous brother in his family. His younger brother, Aaron, launched his music career when he was just 9 years old.

Aaron started his career as a pop singer in the 1990s. Later, he transitioned to a rapper. His first album debuted in 1997 and sold 1 million copies. He was only 9. His second album sold 3 million copies. Perhaps you remember some of his famous songs like “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.”

TMZ reports that Saturday November 5, 2022, Aaron’s house sitter called 911 around 11am. She claimed that she found Aaron in the bathtub in his home in Lancaster, California. He was not responsive. When police arrived, they confirmed that he was dead. He was only 34 years old.

Melanie Martin, Aaron’s fiancé, confirmed Aaron’s death and shared her thoughts. She told TMZ, “My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.”

Aaron’s famous older brother, Nick, has also shared a tribute to his brother. He shared multiple photos of the two of them together, starting when they were young until they were all grown up. In the caption, Nick wrote, “My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.”

Although a confirmed cause of death has yet to be released, Nick blamed his brother’s death on “addiction and mental illness” calling them “the real villain.” Nick added, “I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know,” and he ended the caption writing, “I love you baby brother.”
