Sad ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ News
Now we know that big changes are coming to “Wheel of Fortune.” The game show’s Instagram account posted a picture of Sajak along with the caption, “A message from our Host — Thank you, Pat!” On the picture of Sajak there was also text sharing Sajak’s message to his fans. The message reads, “Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all.”

Sajak has been the host of one game show longer than anyone else has been the host of one game show. Even the Guinness World Records acknowledges this fact. In addition, Sajak’s show, “Wheel of Fortune,” is also the longest running syndicated game show in the United States. The show has filmed over 7000 episodes.
Vanna White has been Sajak’s co-host since 1982. There is no news about any change on her part. Who will take over as host for “Wheel of Fortune” has also not been announced. Will it be something similar to “Jeopardy!” where potential hosts audition by guest hosting the show for a week or two? Does the show already have a host in mind? At this point, it has not been announced, and any guess is pure speculation.

Upon hearing the news of Sajak’s retirement, many fans turned to the comments to share their disappointment as well as their well wishes for Sajak’s retirement. One comment reads, “Will not be the same! But enjoy retirement!”
Another comment reads, “I miss you already, hard to say goodbye! But if your daughter, Maggie was in the new position, it would help ease the pain!”
Sajak’s daughter Maggie has made multiple appearances on the show, and there has been some speculation that she may become the next host. Whether or not that will happen has yet to be seen.
Who do you think will replace Sajak as host? Are you surprised that he has decided to retire?
