Sad Savannah Chrisley News

Southwest airlines used to be known for great customer service and economy flights. Unfortunately, their image has faltered over the past year. It started over the holiday season when the company’s computer issues prevented many passengers from making it to their destinations over the holidays. Now, it seems that the gate attendants are also being unnecessarily rude.

“Growing up Chrisley” star Savannah Chrisley, 25, recently took to her Instagram stories to share an experience she had while trying to board a Southwest flight from New York’s Laguardia airport to her destination in Tennessee.

Chrisley started the series of videos by explaining, “Alright guys, so I officially know why everyone hates Southwest so much. I mean absolutely hates it — the worst thing in the entire world.” Then she went on to explain her experience.

Chrisley was at the gate ready to board her flight when a gate attendant stopped her and insisted that she would need to check her carry-on bag. Chrisley didn’t want to check her bag if there was any way possible to keep it on board with her, so she tried to reason with the gate agent. She suggested that she would go on the plane first to see if she could find somewhere to put her bag and only check it if she couldn’t.

The situation escalated until even the pilot got involved. In the end, Chrisley wasn’t allowed to board the flight. The gate agent called her “an unruly passenger.”

Watch the video below to hear more about why the gate agent refused to let Chrisley or her bag board the flight and to find out how she ended up getting home.

Have you ever been told by a gate agent that you needed to check a carry-on bag? Do you think the gate agent was being unreasonable? Would you have agreed to check your bag if you had been in Chrisley’s position?
