Nicole Kidman’s recent AFI Life Achievement Award celebration was marked by the absence of her two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, sparking questions about their relationship dynamics and Scientology affiliation.

While Kidman’s daughters with Keith Urban, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, were in attendance, Connor and Isabella, adopted during her marriage to Cruise, were notably missing from the event.

Reports suggest that Kidman’s relationship with her children, particularly Isabella and Connor, has been strained, partly due to their involvement in Scientology, the controversial religion associated with Cruise.

In a 2017 interview with Australia’s WHO magazine, Kidman emphasized her commitment to unconditional love for her children, despite differing beliefs. “I have to protect all those relationships,” she had said. “I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is.”

Isabella and Connor were adopted by Kidman and Cruise in the early 1990s and maintained joint custody after their parents’ divorce in 2001. The children reportedly opted to live with Cruise, leading to speculations about their allegiance to their father.

While Isabella has ventured into marriage and fashion entrepreneurship, Connor has maintained a lower profile, occasionally appearing alongside Cruise and pursuing acting opportunities.

During her AFI Life Achievement Award acceptance speech, Kidman focused on her daughters with Urban, describing them as “the loves of my life.” However, she made no explicit mention of Connor and Isabella, raising curiosity about their relationship.

Despite their absence, Cruise received a subtle acknowledgment from Kidman during her speech, reflecting on her past collaborations and relationships in Hollywood.

“Some of them you may never meet again and some of them you do meet again. Some of them you have incredible laughter and jokes with, and you cry with; some of them you fall in love with, some of them you marry,” Kidman said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
