Caroline Bryan, Luke Bryan’s gorgeous wife was dressed to the nines when she walked the red carpet for the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov 9) and less than a week later she is in the hospital recovering from surgery.
The country star’s wife posted on Instagram “Well…unexpected hip surgery….but I got the best care and surrounded by the most selfless friends ever!”
She shared a photo of herself giving a thumbs up from her hospital bed and tagged the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee in the post. The 42 year old also shared a video of three friends aiding her while she sat with her feet in boots.
One of her pals held up the funniest shirt that said “Straight Outta Hip Surgery” a reference to 1988 NWA album Straight Outta Compton. While Caroline appears to be in good spirits, she has not disclosed further details about what caused the need for her surgery.
Caroline and Luke were married in 2006. The country singer reported on Instagram he would get back to his performing schedule starting November 30. This gives him time to support his wife as she recuperates.
Luke Bryan is one of the most successful and awarded country stars of the last 15 years. Bryan has sold over 75 million records. Since 2018, Bryan has been a judge on American Idol. Some of his popular songs include Drink a Beer,. Country Girl (Shake It For Me),. Drunk on You,. Play It Again,. and I Don’t Want This Night To End.
Luke and Caroline have two sons together. The couple lives in Williamson County, near Nashville.
In 2007, Bryan’s older sister Kelly died unexpectedly at home of unknown causes. After Kelly’s husband Ben Lee Cheshire died in 2014, Bryan and Caroline began raising their nephew and taking care of their nieces.
