Celebrity Reveals Sad Health Update About Her Daughter

On a recent episode of the podcast “MeSsy,” actress Christina Applegate introduced a very special guest, her 13-year-old daughter, Sadie. During the podcast, Sadie talked about what it’s like for her seeing her mom deal with M.S., but she also admitted that she has her own diagnosis which she is battling.

MeSsy is hosted by Applegate and actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, both of whom are living with multiple sclerosis. Sadie shared that it’s “really hard” seeing her mom deal with M.S. She explained, “It was hard seeing my mom lose a lot of the abilities she used to have.”

Although it has been difficult for her, she is able to understand what her mother is going through somewhat being she is also going through something difficult. Sadie shared, “It’s definitely easier to understand what she’s going through when I have something I’m going through as well.”

Sadie explained, “I have something called POTS, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.” She admitted, “I have no clue what it actually is, but it’s something to do with the autonomic nervous system and it affects my heart. When I stand up, I get really, really dizzy and my legs get really weak and I feel like I’m going to pass out.” While she shared that she has lost consciousness and passed out a few times, it doesn’t happen very often.

Sadie’s diagnosis is also difficult for Christina, who called her her daughter her “favorite human” and “the reason I get up in the morning.” Christina told her daughter, “I hate it for you, my darling. I really hate it for you. I’m sad, but I love you and I know you’re going to be okay.”

While mother and daughter are both battling their own health issues, Sadie doesn’t consider it all bad. In fact, she explained that she likes to help her mother when she needs help. She explained, “It’s nice being able to help her and support her.” She added, “I also want to help her.”

Sadie pointed out that even though she wants to help her mom, sometimes her mom doesn’t seem to want her help and asks other people to help her instead, especially when it comes to pushing her wheelchair.
