Chelsea Belle O’Donnell, daughter of actress Rosie O’Donnell, was arrested for child neglect and drug possession after police allegedly found her 11-month-old son near a meth pipe.

The 27-year-old was charged on September 17 with four felonies, including maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, and possession of methamphetamine and THC (a compound found in cannabis), according to court documents obtained by In Touch.

She also faces two misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct/domestic abuse and possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs.Dispatchers reported hearing an argument and a woman shouting, “Get the hell away from me.” When police arrived, they found Chelsea Belle O’Donnell with visibly dilated pupils.

Chelsea initially claimed nothing was wrong, but when questioned about the 911 call, she admitted to having a verbal fight with her boyfriend, Jacob Nelund. She told officers that Jacob was inside the home with her 11-month-old son, born in October 2023.

“I tried to ask her more questions and you could tell the Chelsea was not being honest whatsoever. This was a repeat of what happened a few weeks prior when I was at her house for a similar incident,” the police reported.

The police found a horrific scene inside the house, “throughout the house I saw rotten food, dirty moldy dishes, milk that stunk so bad it almost made me puke, dirty diapers, used female hygiene products, unclean underwear with feces and blood stains and used razor blades on the floor.”

The officer went on, “The living conditions in the house were horrible. I searched in the bathroom and did not find anything of interest. I then assisted with searching that downstairs bedroom that was Chelsea’s and Jacob’s. Deputy Veriha had located a used meth pipe and a gem bag with meth in it.”

Once the officers placed Chelsea in the police car, they reported witnessing Chelsea attempting to retrieve an object from her buttocks area while seated in the back of the police vehicle.

“I watched her for a little and she kept moving her hands around, and it appeared that she was either digging into her butt or her vaginal area. I opened the squad door and asked her what she had on her or in her. She denied having anything and claimed that the handcuffs were starting to hurt her, so she was moving around.” Later, she admitted to having some meth in her bra.

Chelsea’s famous mom Rosie O’ Donnel took to Instagram to address her daughter’s  troubles.

Chelsea has not yet entered a plea and is scheduled to return to court in November. She has not commented on her arrests, and no lawyer or representative is listed in her Wisconsin court case summaries, according to E! News.

Rosie’s daughter, a mother of four—Skylar (5), Riley (3), Avery (2), and Atlas (11 months)—was first arrested in September in Marinette County, Wisconsin. She faces felony charges for child neglect, operating a drug trafficking site, and methamphetamine possession.

Rosie O’Donnell and her daughter Chelsea have had a complicated and often turbulent relationship. Issues between them first became public in 2015 when Rosie reported Chelsea missing. Chelsea, who was 18 at the time, was later found staying with a man she had met online. This incident marked a low point, with both of them making difficult public statements about one another. Chelsea accused Rosie of mistreatment, while Rosie expressed concerns about Chelsea’s mental health.

Their relationship experienced further challenges when Chelsea married Nick Alliegro and distanced herself from her mother, even at one point saying that she did not want Rosie involved in her child’s life. Despite these difficulties, Rosie and Chelsea eventually began to reconcile, especially after Chelsea’s separation from Alliegro and the birth of her children. Rosie has mentioned in recent interviews that they are now working on rebuilding their relationship, focusing on forgiveness and communication.
