Ex-Boyfriend Of Pippa Middleton And Husband To Lady Gabriella Passes Away
British financier Thomas Kingston, husband to Lady Gabriella and former boyfriend of Pippa Middleton, passed away at the age of 45, leaving family, friends, and the royal community in shock and mourning.
A statement released on behalf of Lady Gabriella Kingston, Martin and Jill Kingston, Joanna Connolly, and Emma Murray expressed the family’s deep sorrow: “It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son, and brother. Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing.”
King Charles and Queen Camilla were informed of Kingston’s death, and a palace spokesperson shared, “The King and The Queen have been informed of Thomas’s death and join Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and all those who knew him in grieving a much-loved member of the family. In particular, Their Majesties send their most heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Gabriella and to all the Kingston family.”
Thomas Kingston, who worked as a director at Devonport Capital, passed away in Gloucestershire on Sunday. Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after 6 p.m., and while the cause of death remains undetermined, there are no suspicious circumstances or involvement of other parties.
Kingston’s death follows less than five years after his royal wedding to Lady Gabriella, the 42-year-old daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. The couple tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 18, 2019, in a ceremony attended by various members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry.
Previously, Kingston dated Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate Middleton. Although their relationship ended around 2011, Kingston and Lady Gabriella attended Pippa’s wedding in May 2017, with Pippa returning the gesture by attending Kingston and Lady Gabriella’s nuptials two years later.
Despite this tragic loss, Lady Gabriella remains a non-working member of the royal family, currently 56th in the line of succession to the British throne. She is known for her work as a freelance journalist and a talented singer who released two songs in 2020 to benefit the Playing For Change Foundation.
Lady Gabriella and Kingston were often seen at various royal events, showcasing their close ties with the royal family. Their recent public appearance with Queen Camilla at a Celebration of Shakespeare event just two weeks ago highlighted their continued involvement in royal activities.
