Fox News Reporter Who Was Violently Attacked On A NYC Subway Speaks Out

On Sunday night, Fox News meteorologist Adam Klotz was heading home from the Giants-Eagles NFL playoff game when he got attacked on the New York City subway. It all started when he confronted a group of teens who ultimately ended up beating him up. The teens were smoking and used their lighter to attack an older man. When Klotz tried to defend the older man, the teens beat him up.

Nobody stepped in to help Klotz, and the teens were ultimately arrested; however, they were later released when their parents came to pick them up. Meanwhile, Klotz was hospitalized for his injuries. You can see Klotz’s injuries and hear more about the attack in the video below.

Three of the teens were arrested, but when their parents came to pick them up, they were released without being charged for anything. A NYPD representative told The New York Post, “Juvenile reports were prepared, and their parents were called to pick them up.”

Klotz later described the incident on FOX Business saying, “What happened was this group of teens, I’d say seven or eight of them, were lighting a joint and then kept the lighter on and put it in this older man’s hair, and it went up like a matchbook. His whole head was just on fire.”

As the older man frantically tried to put out the fire, Klotz blurted out, “You can’t do that.” The teens immediately forgot about the older man and turned their attention to Klotz.

Klotz explained that the teens wanted him to start a fight, but he refused. Instead, he moved to a different subway car, but the teens followed him and attacked him.

Klotz added that he isn’t surprised that the other passengers didn’t step up to defend him. After all, they saw what happened when he “said one small thing” to try to defend the older man – he got attacked. He said, “What did we gain? I got beat up. I went to the hospital. They went home.”

Despite the situation, Klotz described his feelings as being “calm” throughout the attack. Watch the video below to hear more about his experience.

Klotz still plans on riding the Subway, but he feels that something needs to be done to change the lack of consequences for criminal behavior. He explained, “What I want is some sort of change.” He added, “I don’t want this to happen to somebody else.” His suggestion is to “put some cops down there” in the subway.
