Prince’s Dancer Passed Away At 60
Cat Glover, A singer, dancer, and choreographer who worked with Prince passed away. She was 60. No cause of death has been provided. Her death was announced in a Facebook post from her page Official Cat Glover. The post states
“It’s with great sadness that we formally announce the passing of Catherine Vernice Glover- AKA “Cat”
Please allow her children, family and friends privacy at this difficult time.
A further statement will be released in due course.

Glover was linked to Prince and worked with the late artist on several projects, such as The Sign o’ the Times and Lovesexy albums, and the music videos, concert films and tours. She also rapped on Prince’s single “Alphabet St.” Her passing comes eight years after Prince’s death at age 57 from an accidental fentanyl overdose.
Glover was born on July 23, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, She grew up as one of six children. She attended Esmond Elementary and later Morgan Park High School. From the age of five, Glover developed a deep passion for dance, which would become central to her life. Alongside her love for dancing, she became fascinated with Prince, and made it her goal to one day meet the legendary singer.
She once shared that she discovered Prince while listening to his record Dirty Mind helped her cope with depression during a difficult time. Glover’s big break came when she competed as a dancer on the popular talent show Star Search. She advanced all the way to the finals but ultimately missed out on the $100,000 grand prize.
Despite not winning Star Search, Cat Glover was recognized as a talented performer in the music world. She drew attention from icons like David Bowie and Prince, both of whom invited her to join their bands. However, Glover’s deep admiration for Prince, fueled by her love of his Dirty Mind album, led her to choose Prince.
In 1989, Cat Glover left Prince’s band to pursue a solo career, releasing her EP Catwoman, which would remain her only musical release. Glover briefly reunited with Prince in 1994, contributing a rap to the track “Cindy C” on The Black Album.
