Mila De Jesus was a weight loss influencer who shot to fame after sharing her dramatic weight loss. She was also well known for the makeup tutorials she posted on YouTube.

De Jesus was born in Brazil, but she lived in Boston with her husband, George Kowszik, and her four children from a previous marriage. De Jesus and Kowszik were newlyweds and only tied the knot a few months ago.

On Monday, January 15, 2024, De Jesus’ family posted a sad announcement on her Instagram account, sharing the unexpected and shocking news of De Jesus’ death. A translation of the caption reads, “We are very sad to hear of the passing of our beautiful mother. We appreciate all the prayers and condolences. Continue to pray for us. Thank you.”

The photo her family shared in the sad announcement was a black and white version of a photo De Jesus had shared just months earlier, in October 2023.

According to the New York Post, while it’s not official yet, it’s suspected that she died due to cardiac arrest. She was only 35 years old.

In November 2023, De Jesus shared a photo that really captures her weight loss transformation. In side-by-side photos, she shared a picture of herself from 2010 when she was 22 years old, and she shared another picture of herself taken in 2023 at age 35. A translation of the caption reads, “13 years between one picture… 6 years since a decision that changed my life in so many ways.On one side Mila aged 22 and on the other Mila aged 35, how much we change huh, how we grow and how we learn.”

The transformation is quite impressive with the older version of De Jesus looking much thinner than the younger version.
