Kim Delaney, best known for playing Detective Diane Russell on NYPD Blue, was arrested for felony assault after a reported domestic dispute.
The 63-year-old actress was taken into custody on Saturday, March 29, at 10:15 a.m. at her home in Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
TMZ reported that Delaney and her partner, James Morgan, got into a heated argument that turned physical. Paramedics responded to the scene, and both Delaney and Morgan were arrested.
A spokesperson from the Marina Del Rey Sheriff’s Station confirmed to PEOPLE Delaney was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, while Morgan was arrested for domestic violence. As of March 30, both remained in custody.
Her next court date is set for Tuesday, April 1. According to the LASD website, Morgan was arrested about 30 minutes before Delaney, with his bail set at $20,000. He is also scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

Delaney achieved widespread acclaim for her role as Detective Diane Russell on the ABC drama series NYPD Blue, appearing in 137 episodes between 1995 and 2003. Her portrayal earned her three Primetime Emmy nominations, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1997.
Beyond NYPD Blue, Delaney starred as Kathleen Maguire in the legal drama Philly (2001–2002) and as Megan Donner in the inaugural season of CSI: Miami (2002). She also played Claudia Joy Holden in the Lifetime series Army Wives from 2007 to 2012.
Delaney’s film credits include roles in That Was Then… This Is Now (1985), The Delta Force (1986), and Mission to Mars (2000).
