The last time Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere was seen publicly with her brother, Jansen Panettiere, was three weeks ago on January 24, 2023, when Jansen posted a picture of his sister cutting his hair. He wrote, “Not the first haircut she’s tried to give me.”

Less than three weeks later, on Sunday February 19, 2023, Jansen is officially dead at the age of 28 years old. Police arrived at a residence near Palisades, New York, around 5:30pm Sunday night. His cause of death has not been confirmed, but police do not suspect foul play. A source claims that Jansen had been suffering from “terrible anxiety and depression.”

Reportedly, Hayden is “inconsolable” after learning about her brother’s death. He was her only sibling.

Just like his big sister, Jansen was also an actor. His first role was on the show “Midori’s Nintendoland Bakery” in 2002. Since then, he had roles on TV shows and films including “Blue’s Clues,” “Racing Stripes,” “Robots,” “Ice Age: The Meltdown,” “The X’s,” “The Perfect Game,” and “Summer Forever.” His last project was 2022’s “Love and Love Not.” He was also attached to four upcoming projects.

A source who spoke to The Daily Mail said that Jansen “had been having a rough time lately with his career and he was dragged in so many directions.” The source added, “Hayden is just inconsolable. He was her best friend and her only brother. He was such a nice guy but he lived on the edge.’.”

Besides acting, Jansen was also an artist. He used art as a form of therapy and an outlet for coping with his depression and anxiety. He shared some of his artwork on social media. He has created more than 50 pieces of art.

Rest in peace.
