New Book Claims To Reveal Royal Secrets

Omid Scobie, a longtime royal correspondent, has just released his new book, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.” The book hit store shelves on November 28, 2023, and Scobie believes now is the right time for this book, and this conversation about what he calls “an irrelevancy of the royal family.”

Why is now the right time? Queen Elizabeth II died in 2022, and the conversation seemed inappropriate while the Queen was still on the throne. Now that her son, King Charles III, is king, Scobie believes “People in Britain, across the Commonwealth, and even around the world, are more open to having discussions about the future of an irrelevancy of the royal family.”

Back in 2020, Scobie published a book titled “Finding Freedom” about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving royal life behind. This new book goes even deeper, focusing on why the circumstances existed that made them want to leave in the first place; however, Scobie’s latest book into a sequel.

Scobie explained, “We’re at a crossroads in terms of what the family does next, and I think it’s important for us to be informed on the inner workings of any public institution.” In the book, Scobie drops quite a few bombs about what’s really going on in the royal family.

For starters, he explains that there isn’t just tension between Harry and Charles and Harry and William. There’s also tension between Charles and William, the heir to the throne. It seems William is trying to set himself apart from his father and is already planning what to do when he becomes king.

Another revelation was that Princess Kate’s outfits are strategically designed to be call back’s to Princess Diana’s wardrobe. It’s not just Kate’s idea or her personal sense of style. It’s actually a team effort. The team includes William who is part of the decision about what his wife will wear, and sometimes a staff member will even pull photos of Diana to see what she wore to events to try to find a similar outfit for Kate. The same process happened with Meghan’s attire, with her husband in on the decision, that is until Harry and Meghan left the royal family.

Scobie also explained how the royal family reacted about Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview in which they claimed someone in the royal family made comments about their unborn child’s skin color, insinuating that the royal family is racist. Scobie said that William and Kate never brought up the conversation with Harry and Meghan, but Charles tried to build a bridge to reconciliation. He sent a letter to Meghan sharing the royal family’s side of the story, not denying that the comments happened, but explaining that he doesn’t believe there will “ill will” meant by them.

Another bomb is that Harry found out his grandmother died from a BBC announcement. He was on a plane trying to get to his dying grandmother, but he didn’t make it in time, and his family didn’t wait for his plane to land so they could tell him over the phone. Instead, they went ahead and released the announcement publicly. One of Harry’s friends told Scobie, “They could have waited just a little longer. It would have been nothing in the grand scheme of things, but no one respected that at all.”

William allegedly believes that his brother has been “brainwashed by an ‘army of therapists'” according to a source who spoke to Scobie. Harry seems to have accepted that he and his brother will never see eye to eye. Scobie explains that Harry once told a friend, “Whether we get an apology or accountability, who knows? Who really cares at this point?”
