Rob “The Rabbit” Pitts, star of the Netflix series, Tex Mex Motors passed away on August 25.

He was 45, and died from stomach cancer complications.

According to Jeff who told Newsweek “Hey everyone, this is Jeff (Rob’s Videographer). I am with him now in Hospice. He just passed at 21:45 on 08/25/2024,” he posted in a YouTube video comment. “He will be missed and we will never forget him!”

Rob “The Rabbit” Pitts was a key figure on the Netflix series “Tex Mex Motors,” a reality show that focuses on car restoration and sales. As one of the main stars of the show, Rob Pitts brought his unique blend of charm, wit, and extensive knowledge of classic cars to the show.

Pitts was sweetly known as “The Rabbit,” a nickname that reflects his quick thinking and energetic personality. His expertise in car restoration was not only about the mechanical aspects; he also had an eye for what makes a car desirable in the marketplace. Pitss was CEO of Pitts Truck service that started in 1968.

“Tex Mex Motors” is a show that highlights the challenges and rewards of buying, restoring, and selling cars. particularly those with a bit of history or in need of some tender loving care such as  “69 Opel, a ’65 Volkswagen Bug, a ’63 Chevy Carryall, a vintage Bronco.”

The series is set around the Texas-Mexico border, a region known for its mix of cultures and styles. One of the aspects that made Pitts stand out is his ability to connect with people. His Southern charm and no-nonsense approach to business make an expert negotiator,often leading to some of the most funniest moments of the show.

The show originated on Netflix in June 2023. Near the end of March 2024, Pitts started working on season 2, when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
