Morgan Wallen didn’t waste any time after wrapping up his appearance on Saturday Night Live.
The 31-year-old country star was the musical guest on the March 29 episode of the long-running sketch show, which also marked actress Mikey Madison’s hosting debut. The 26-year-old had recently taken home the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in Anora. The controversial 2024 film stars Mikey Madison as Ani Mikheeva, a stripper from Brooklyn who impulsively marries Vanya, the son of a Russian oligarch,
At the end of the episode, Madison stood beside Wallen on the iconic Studio 8H stage and thanked everyone involved, saying, “I had a wonderful time.” As the camera zoomed out, Wallen leaned in to whisper something in Madison’s ear before casually walking off stage, briefly passing in front of the camera.
Not long after the show aired, Wallen posted a photo on his Instagram Stories showing a private jet, with the caption “Get me to God’s country” written across the image per PEOPLE.
During his Saturday Night Live appearance on March 29, Morgan Wallen kicked off his musical set with “I’m the Problem,” the lead track from his upcoming album of the same name. He returned later in the show to perform another new song, “Just in Case.”
This latest performance marked Wallen’s return to the SNL stage five years after his headline-making debut in 2020..Wallen was initially dropped from his original SNL musical guest slot after photos surfaced of him partying maskless and kissing several college women in Alabama—violating the COVID-19 protocols in place at the time.
Wallen performed “7 Summers” as his first song, followed by “Still Goin’ Down.” He also took part in a self-deprecating sketch that addressed the controversy, playing himself alongside future versions of him who showed up to warn him about the consequences of his actions.
Wallen is preparing for his “I’m the Problem” tour, set to begin in June 2025, with performances across North America. His latest album, same name as his tour, is scheduled to be released in mid-May.
