Wynonna Judd and her mother, Naomi Judd, comprised the country singing group The Judds. They performed together. They toured together. They should have accepted a Country Music Hall of Fame award together.

Instead, one day before being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Wynonna and her sister, Ashley Judd, announced some tragic news. Their mother had died due to what they called at the time “mental health.” We later learned that Naomi died due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Naomi had been open about her struggle with mental health, but Wynonna had no idea what her mother was dealing with before taking her own life. During an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning,” Wynonna explained, “I did not know that she was at the place she was at when she ended it. Because she had had episodes before and she got better.” She added, “And that’s what I live in, is like, ‘Was there anything I should have looked for or should I have known?’ I didn’t.”

Now, fans are more concerned about Wynonna’s mental health. Some have expressed concern that she’s being pushed too hard and working too much.

Wynonna has heard her fans’ concern, and she decided to respond to it. In a video she posted to Instagram, she explained, “Well, I’m ok.” Then she expressed the point of her video. She said, “I realized people are genuinely concerned, so I want to respond to that.”

Wynonna wanted to reassure her fans that she really is okay. She explained, “I am working so hard on my mental, physical and spiritual well-being.” She added, “I’m really blessed, and I’m broken, and I’m working really hard at self care which is not selfish; it’s sacred.”

She also acknowledged that she is working a lot; however, she was clear that she does not feel overworked. She said, “I have a very full schedule, but I also have time off.”

At the end of her video, Wynonna echoed her first statement saying, “So, I’m ok.” Then she added, “Can’t keep a good woman down for too long.”

Wynonna’s fans commented on her video encouraging her to “keep pushing” and to “do whatever is best for you.”

Due to an overwhelming outpouring of love from fans, Wynonna has extended her tour for “The Judds: the Final Tour.” There are 15 tour dates in January and February 2023.
