Meghan Markle Accuses Other Royals of “Perpetuating Falsehoods About Us”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah will air in just a few days, and we now have another sneak peak at what to expect.

Previously, CBS released a teaser trailer that showed the Duke and pregnant Duchess sitting down across from Oprah. It hinted at some very big revelations and that nothing is off limits when it comes to topics of conversation.

Now, we have another clip from the interview in which Meghan makes a strong accusation against the British royal family. In the clip, Oprah asks Meghan, “How do you feel about the palace hearing you speak your truth today?”

Meghan answered, “I don’t know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, there’s a lot that’s been lost already.”

“The Firm” is an informal ways of referring to the royal family.

Meghan’s claim that the royal family is “perpetuating falsehoods” about her and her husband is backed up by a recent news article in The London Times. In this article, anonymous palace sources claimed that Meghan was bullying the palace staff back in 2018 when she lived at Kensington Palace.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan explained, “Let’s just call this what it is — a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation.”

We can only imagine what the royal family will think when they watch this tell-all interview with Oprah. We will definitely be watching the interview on CBS this Sunday March 7. The interview is also airing in the UK on ITV on March 8, 2021.
