‘MadTv’ And ‘Scary Movie’ Actress Passed Away At 46
Actress Erica Ash has died at age 46. She is best known for her roles on ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ and ‘Survivor’s Remorse’. She has also appeared in several other TV shows and movies.
Her family confirmed the actress died after a long bout with cancer. They did not provide any additional details.

Ash was an actress, comedian, singer, and model known for her versatile performances across television, film, and stage. Born on September 19, 1977, in Florida, she was raised in a military family and moved around frequently during her childhood. She had planned on becoming a doctor, Ash attended Emory University, where she majored in pre-medicine.

Ash became a favorite cast member on the comedy show “MADtv” from 2008 to 2009, where her comedic talent and ability to impersonate celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama. Before “MADtv,” she was a cast member on “The Big Gay Sketch Show,” an LGBTQ-themed sketch comedy show produced by Rosie O’Donnell. She also starred as Bridgette, Kevin Hart’s ex-wife, on the BET comedy series “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” and played the role of M-Chuck Calloway, a central character on the Starz series “Survivor’s Remorse,” about a professional basketball player and his family’s ups and downs.
In film, Ash appeared in “Scary Movie 5” and received praise for her role in the independent film “Jean of the Joneses,” about a dysfunctional Jamaican-American family. On stage, she has performed in Broadway productions such as “The Lion King,” showcasing her singing and acting abilities.
