Madonna Shows Off Picture With All Six Of Her Kids

Madonna has been known as the Queen of Pop since the 1980s. But when she wasn’t belting out her hits such as Like a Prayer and Material Girl, she was also busy being a mom, and still is. In fact, many people don’t realize that Madonna has six children.

She had her first child, Lourdes (aka Lola), with fitness trainer Carlos Leon in 1996. She then went on to have her first son, Rocco, in 2000, after marrying director Guy Ritchie in 1998.

Madonna then decided to get on the adoption train and adopt her third child and second son, David Banda (who was born in 2005), while she funded an orphanage in Malawi. Her next adoption, and her second daughter, Mercy James, came in 2009 (Mercy was born in 2006), also from Malawi. Eight years later, in 2017, Madonna adopted twins Stella and Estere (also from Malawi) when they were 4 years old.

“Sometimes I would just close my eyes and just think, ‘Why isn’t my kitchen filled with dancing children?’ There’s so many children that need a home,” Madonna said of adoption in 2017 to PEOPLE. “I thought, ‘What am I waiting for? Just do it.’ ”

With her children all being very different ages and of different points in her life, it’s rare that Madonna shares a photo with all six of them in the frame—but she recently did, and wow it’s amazing to see how they’re all growing up!

The special moment happened during Thanksgiving, and she captioned the series of photos with “What I’m thankful for…………”

Everyone is dressed in stylish black outfits. Many people in the comments joked that they were giving off Addams Family vibes!

See for yourself in this series of pictures below with all the kids and their mama! You’ll see Lola, who’s now 26; Rocco, 22; David, 17; Mercy, 16; and Stella and Estere, 10.
