“Little People, Big World” Star Underwent Emergency Surgery

“Little People, Big World” star Zach Roloff had emergency brain surgery this week. His wife, Tori Roloff, updated their fans telling them, “It’s been a scary 72 hours.”

In her post, Tori shared two pictures of her husband in a hospital bed. She wrote, “Zachary had emergency shunt revision this morning.” She added that “he is doing well and recovering!!”

She continued by thanking friends and family “for the prayers that you have covered us in.” She also thanked the neurosurgeon team at the hospital and Zach’s mom, Amy Roloff, for babysitting.

Tori is hopeful that Zach will no longer get migraines after this surgery, and she is also “praying that Zach’s recovery is quick and easy.” She added, “You’re a freaking bad ass, Zach. You just had brain surgery… and handled it like a rockstar. I’m so proud of you.”

Zach’s dad, Matt Roloff, also shared an update about his son’s condition. Next to a photo of Zach playing with his kids on what appears to be Christmas morning, Matt wrote that his son is “in good hands with Tori advocating tooth and nail for his best interest… all prayers up please for Zach’s successful recovery.”

Zach has had a shunt since he was a child. It was put in to help drain cerebrospinal fluid. Back in 2006, during the very first season of “Little People, Big World,” Zach had to have corrective surgery for the shunt.

In case you’re unfamiliar with his show, you can see a peek at the latest season in the video below.
