King Charles III Diagnosed With Cancer

Last week, King Charles III was admitted to The London Clinic for surgery due to “benign prostate enlargement.” Unfortunately, while he was at the hospital, another serious health issue was discovered.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace, it was revealed that King Charles has cancer. The statement explained, “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.” The statement did not give any details about what type of cancer, what stage of cancer, or what treatments King Charles may receive.

The statement did reveal that King Charles had begun treatments for cancer, although it was very vague. It simply stated that he has “commenced a schedule of regular treatments.”

While he is undergoing treatments, King Charles will not be doing any “public-facing duties;” however, he will continue with “State business and official paperwork.”

The statement also praised the King’s medical team and added, “He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”

Microsoft Start reveals that a royal source claims Charles broke the news of his cancer diagnosis to his siblings and children. Prince Harry plans to visit his father in the next few days.

While Charles is stepping back from public duties, his wife, Queen Camilla, is not. Another source told Microsoft Start that she would be going about business as usual.
