According to E! News, the skin condition Kim struggles with is psoriasis. She shared that she inherited the condition from her mother, Kris Jenner. She shared that she has tried numerous ways to get rid of it, and nothing has worked for her long term; although, the skin condition did go away for five years after she got a cortisone short, but it returned a few years later.

Kim didn’t get psoriasis until she was an adult. She first noticed it when she was 30. However, one of her sons has already been diagnosed with a rare skin condition that he inherited from her.

The skin condition is called vitiligo, and other celebrities including Michael Jackson and Winnie Harlow have already received the same diagnosis.

According to the National Institute of Health, vitiligo is an auto-immune disease that causes large patches of skin is lose their coloring. The skin cells that make the pigment in the skin are destroyed, which causes the skin to turn white.

The condition can begin at as young of an age as six months old. There is no cure, but there are treatments that stop and even reverse the effects of the condition.

Although Kim doesn’t have vitiligo, it is still likely that her son inherited vitiligo from her because the skin condition is more common when people have a family history of another skin condition such as psoriasis.

Kim did not reveal which one of her sons inherited the rare skin condition, but she did share that his condition is mild.
