Prince George is growing up. The young prince, the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton is currently 11 years old. It won’t be much longer before he ages out of the school he currently attends.

According to a source who spoke to The Mirror, George’s parents have been discussing where their oldest child should go to school when he completes the primary school he is currently attending. His parents have differing views, and William’s suggestion reportedly leaves Kate feeling “heartbroken.”

According to the BBC, Lambrook, the primary school George currently attends with his younger siblings, 9-year-old Princess Charlotte and 6-year-old Prince Louise, is a co-educational school for ages 3 to 13.

Where will George go to school next? According to the source who spoke to The Mirror, “Kate’s preference is for George to be at a co-education school, so he can be with his siblings, which is what Kate experienced at Marlborough with her sister, Pippa, and brother, James.”

The source explained that this is Kate’s preference because “It was a very happy school life for her.”

William had a different type of school life, and that is also influencing his preference. William attended an all boys boarding school called Eton. The source shared, “William has very fond memories of Eton, which has a long history with aristocrats and members of the royal family.”

William wants George to attend Eton, and George is reportedly excited about the idea of going to the same school as his dad.

Kate is described as “heartbroken” at the idea of George attending Eton. She thinks the school is too “stuffy.”

While William and Kate seem to have completely different ideas about where George should go to school, it’s possible that there will be another option. The source explained, “There’s always the possibility of traditions being changed.”

The source elaborated by explaining the King Charles III went to a different boarding school than his sons, so it’s possible that William will also send his son to a different school than the one he attended.

The source said, “William and Harry didn’t end up following in their father’s footsteps by going to Gordonstoun [in Scotland], and it may be that George breaks the Eton mould and ends up somewhere else. “Whatever happens, it’ll be a decision made by William and Kate with George’s best interests factored in.”

Where do you think George will end up going to school?
