“He was an open book, a fighter, genuinely the funniest person my sister and I knew,” Jackson posted, “and single handedly invented the loudest most powerful back beat of any drummer I’ve ever seen.”

The actor added, “And we get to remember him, 6 foot 4 with a denim shirt and a Starbucks muffin, driving us around, teaching us every important song ever written. I’m wearing his shoes every day. Not a metaphor he had really cool shoes. Big Jack White. 1954-2024. I love you dad forever.”

Katey Sagal also had a daughter Sarah Grace White with her ex-husband Jack. They were married from 1993 to 2000. Katey and Jack used to perform with musicians like Tina Turner and Rick Springfield.

Jack’s daughter Sarah also took to instagram to make a tribute. “My dad. Huge, wild soul. “The loudest, tallest guy in the room, arms outstretched, singing, smiling, drumming on his dashboard, riding his motorcycle 100 miles in the mud and snow, hitchhiking across the country and telling us all about it.”

“He woke us up every day in Nashville with a pot of coffee blasting the best music in the world. He picked me and my brother up for every dad’s weekend honking his car horn laughing, and waved goodbye to us until we got to the front door. He still did that every time I saw him. He knew every movie by heart and every player on every rock record ever made. He was a legend and the biggest fan. Thank you for teaching me the only way to listen to music, loud as fuck with the windows down. And thank you for loving me. Turns out it’s the only thing that matters.

Jack White 1954-2024 and forever. He wanted to say thank you ‘for all the chicks and all the money.’ Rock on, dad. We’ve got all your love and we’re taking it with us. I love you.”

Jack White, born Jack Wesley White on March 12, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, was an accomplished American musician and producer. Not to be confused with the Jack White of the White Stripes band.

White’s impact on the music industry extends beyond his marriage to Sagal. He was instrumental in the careers of many artists and bands, providing them with his expertise in production and songwriting. His influence can be seen in the success of various albums and singles throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Jack also played drums.

In addition to his music career, White also ventured into acting, appearing in a few television shows and movies.  He appeared on “Sons of Anarchy” and “Nashville.”

Rest in Peace
