Kat Von D Turns Her Life to The Lord After Dabbling in Witchcraft for a Very Important Reason

Celebrity tattoo artist and star of “LA Ink” Kat Von D had a religious about face over the past couple years. In July 2022, she shared that she was getting rid of some of items in her home. These items included books about witchcraft and boxes of tarot cards.

At the time, Von D explained, “I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past.” She decided to let go of the books because “I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.”

More than a year later, in a somewhat related post, Von D is sharing where she currently is on her spiritual journey. She posted a video where she made it clear that she has given up witchcraft and turned to God.

The video is set to religious music and takes place inside a church. A pastor tells Von D, “Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in obedience to his divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Then he dunks her in the baptismal tank, and and she gives him a big hug.

Von D’s followers have a mixed reaction to the changes she has made in her spiritual life. Some comments on her baptism post are positive, with her followers writing things like “all of heaven rejoices” and “Welcome! Praying that the Lord continues to guide your steps!”

Other comments aren’t so positive. For example, one follower asked Von D, “Pretty much trading one cult for ANOTHER!!! Next is it going to be Scientology?” Meanwhile, another comment reads, “This is really sad for me so I’m unfollowing.”

Does it surprise you that Von D traded witchcraft for Christianity?
