Sometimes, two people fall in love, they get married and live happily ever after. Yay! But sometimes, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

Cheating in a relationship is nothing new—it happens fairly often. But when you experience cheating firsthand, you might still feel a sense of shock. Or, you know, a sense of protection.

Well, at least that’s how a jeweler named Zoe Roe felt when a man walked into her store and asked her to help her with something.

At first, there was nothing suspicious and Zoe happily helped the man pick out a piece that said “my beautiful wife’ on it to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. How sweet!

But then, after she asked him if there was anything else she could do for him that day, the man answered: ”No that’s it for her, but I do wanna make another purchase using a separate credit card and could you possibly create a different account for me?’”

In a video of Zoe explaining the scenario, she said, “I said, ‘Sure, what are you looking for?’ and he said, ‘Do you have anything that says ‘girlfriend?’ and I said, ‘…yes.’”

And so, she helped the man pick out another piece of jewelry for a completely different woman—his apparent girlfriend of one year. She then packaged up the two gifts.

“He had me mark a ‘K’ for Kristin on the bottom of his wife’s bag and an ‘L’ for Laura on the bottom of his girlfriend’s bag,” Zoe said.

Without missing a beat, Zoe did the complete opposite. In the video, she pretends to be shocked when she realized what she just did.

“I just remembered that his wife’s name is Laura and his girlfriend’s name is Kristin,” Roe said, smirking. “I must have mixed up the bags. Oops.”

GENIUS.

She captioned her video, “What a good day to look out for other women. This happens too often.”

Her video racked up millions of likes and comments, calling her a “gift to humanity,” and that “not all heroes wear capes.”

“THAT’S GIRL CODE!” another wrote. “Imagine people knew you were being cheated on and no one told you?”
