Jessica Simpson & Husband Living Seperate Lives & Not Wearing Wedding Rings

Three days ago, Simpson posted a series of pictures on Instagram where she announces that she is releasing new music. This is the first time she has released new music in 16 years, so it’s a pretty big deal.
What’s an even bigger deal is that she doesn’t appear to be wearing a wedding ring, and she also worded the caption in a way that fans believe means she is declaring herself officially single.

The caption of the post begins, “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic.” Did you see how she used the word “singular” there?
The caption continues, “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.” Is she talking about her marriage, suggesting that she is apologizing to herself for staying in a failed marriage so long?

One person commented, “Is this j simp saying she’s single ?”
Another comment reads, “If it is a break up post…remember…your husband was there for you and stood by your side during your darkest days.”
However, not everyone is convinced this is a break up post. One comment reads, “I don’t think it’s about our marriage breaking up at all. It’s about where she began her roots back when she was single. That’s my opinion.”
This recent post isn’t the only reason fans are wondering if Simpson’s marriage is over. It’s also been quite awhile since she posted any pictures of Johnson, and they haven’t been seen in public together in quite awhile either.

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, “She’s working on music and splits her time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Eric spends all of his time in L.A., where the kids go to school.” The source added, “Jess and Eric very much live separate lives.”
Johnson has also been spotted without his wedding ring.
