Jeopardy Names New Hosts And Fans Not Happy About It

Jeopardy! fans have been on a bit of a rollercoaster ride waiting to see who will replace Alex Trebek as the permanent host of the beloved game show. After months and months of auditions in 2021, the show originally announced that the new permanent host would be Mike Richards, but he resigned from the position just days later.

Instead of simply naming a new host, Jeopardy! producers took their time figuring how who would be the new host. In the meantime, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik have been taking turns hosting the show.

Fans have been waiting not so patiently for Jeopardy! producers to make up their minds about who would be the permanent host. Many hoped it would be Jennings. Some hoped it would be Bialik, but some also voiced dislike for the actress and neuroscientist.

After well over a year of wondering who would be the permanent host of Jeopardy!, the executive producer, Michael Davies, made an announcement, but not everyone’s happy about it.

There will be two permanent hosts of Jeopardy!. Both Jennings and Bialik will host the show. They will take turns, just like they have been, but Davies also made it clear that the show “will not flip flop the hosts constantly and will keep you informed about the hosting schedule.”

Fans have reacted strongly to Jeopardy!’s Twitter announcement about the new permanent hosts. Some are complaining that Bialik was kept on as a host and feel the job should go entirely to Jennings.

Yet others love Bialik as a host and feel that she’s superior to Jennings.
