Inexpensive Homemade Hand Sanitizer Recipe

I found a great little homemade hand sanitizer recipe. The recipe uses rubbing alcohol as a sanitizing agent and aloe vera as a thickening and moisturizing agent. You can also add your favorite essential oil to give it a pleasant scent.

When buying the rubbing alcohol make sure you get one above a 70% alcohol concentration, with 99% recommended in this recipe. The higher the alcohol percentage the more effective it is in killing germs. all three ingredients: rubbing alcohol, aloe vera, and essential oils are pretty cheap so you should be able to make an inexpensive and effective hand sanitizer.

The Recipe:
– 1/3 cup of aloe Vera gel
– 2/3 cup of 99% rubbing alcohol
– 8-10 drops of essential oil (such as
vanilla, lavender, grapefruit, peppermint, etc.)
