How to Save Money on Prescription Drugs

I can’t take credit for this tip. I read it in the money wise section of Real Simple. I am lucky to not need to take any Prescription medications. I love Tip Hero, and thought this may help some one else.

Split your pills (as long as your doctor approves). If you are taking 20 milligrams of a cholesterol medicine, for example, ask your general practitioner to prescribe the 40 milligram dose, then use a pill-splitting device from the drugstore to cut each pill in half., says Engle. Most of the time, you’ll pay the same price but get double the doses. This does not work with gel caps, time-release medications, or capsules.

Thank you to all of you who have share your tips. I have used many. Margaret
