“This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver,” she wrote, detailing the harrowing ordeal. Harmon explained that the driver allegedly shot Oliver after completing the delivery, knowing that he wasn’t being recorded due to their ring camera being inactive.

The incident has sparked outrage and disbelief, with Harmon expressing her devastation and frustration over the loss of their beloved pet. “We are completely traumatized & beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved boy & family member,” she lamented in her Instagram post.

In response to the incident, an Instacart representative expressed deep sadness and confirmed the suspension of the shopper’s account from their platform. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department also investigated the matter but did not press charges against the driver, citing self-defense claims.
