Experts Warn of a ‘Winter Surge’ As Holiday Season Approaches and Covid Cases Are on the Rise Again


We’ve come a long way from a year ago as far as Covid-19 is concerned. Life has gotten quite a bit more normal, and we no longer have health experts recommending that we celebrate Thanksgiving over Zoom. Thanks to vaccines, a lot of people now feel more comfortable gathering together and celebrating together.

As the holidays approach, that means an increase in travel and crowds. There will be crowds in airports. There will be people flying across the country from one state to another to visit family and friends. There will be crowded shopping malls as holiday shoppers rush to find the perfect gifts. All of these crowds and all of this travel leaves experts a little bit concerned.

Despite Covid-19 vaccination, there are still quite a few breakthrough cases, and Covid-19 cases are currently increasing. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you need to cancel your holiday plans, but it’s wise to proceed with caution.
