Elton John Reveals He Is Experiencing Partial Blindness Due To An Eye infection

Elton John, popular British song writer, musician, and singer has been struggling with a horrible eye infection that has limited his ability to see.

The piano player, 77, took to Instagram and revealed that he has an eye infection, and his condition makes it hard for him to see.

“Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”

Elton has experienced his share of health issues in the last few years.

In 2017, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and successfully underwent surgery. Following this, he contracted a severe bacterial infection during a tour in South America, which led to hospitalization and the cancellation of several performances. In 2021, he underwent hip surgery after a fall, which caused significant pain and forced him to postpone his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour. Last year, he fell while spending time at his villa in France.

Due to his current eye infection, John spent time taking care of himself at home. He is thankful to his medical team and family and feels good about what the future will bring. He feels good about his healing journey.
