Actor Jonathan Majors is most recently known for portraying the Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror in Disney’s Marvel series “Loki.” He also starred as Kang in the movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Majors’ future with Marvel could have been big, but now, it’s officially over.

Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment and faces a sentence of up to one year in jail. The incident revolves around a fight with his ex-girlfriend in New York on March 25, 2023.

TMZ has obtained footage of the incident, which you can watch below.

Majors is scheduled to be sentenced on February 6, 2024, but he is not happy with the jury’s decision. According to his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, Majors is surprised that he was found guilty when his ex-girlfriend “was attacking him.” Chaudhry added, “Mr. Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”

Disney apparently isn’t taking any chances with being associated with an actor who may have been “reckless” towards his girlfriend and might serve jail time for it, as the company has dropped him from the Marvel series. Now, they are left to decide whether to recast Kang, the role Majors played or cut out the character altogether. Before this incident, Kang was going to be the next big Marvel villain, culminating with a 2026 Marvel movie called “The Kang Dynasty.”

Majors’s arrest has impacted his career. Not only has Disney dropped him from Marvel, but he was also dropped by his manager, 360 Entertainment, and his publicist, The Lede Company. He was also dropped from multiple upcoming projects, including a film based on the Walter Mosley novel ‘The Man in My Basement,’ as well as an ad campaign for the Texas Rangers MLB team.
