“Dancing with the Stars” fan favorite Emma Slater injured her ankle, sidelining her from the show. Although she and her celebrity partner, Reginald VelJohnson, were eliminated on October 8, Slater was still scheduled to perform in group numbers with the dance troupe. However, on October 14, her injury required a hospital visit.

The 35-year-old dancer took to Instagram to reveal more details about what happened to her.

“Today threw a little curve ball at me but got looked after by some special people. On the phone to my mum and dad letting them know I’m ok. All is good, will be back soon 🙏🏻❤️‍🩹

@brittbenae thanks for these #memories! Thought I was gunna be cutting a rug with my fellow #eliminated pros but sadly I got #eliminated from that crew too so I think I’ll go join @thereginaldveljohnson and just sit on the couch for a bit 😂😂😂”

According to Yahoo Entertainment Slater later posted an update to Instagram stories.

Slater added she would attend the show on crutches to support her fellow “Dancing with the Stars” pros.
