Being a parent can be both rewarding and challenging at the same time, and it turns out that even the rich and famous find parenting challenging, especially as single parents.

According to PEOPLE, in a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian admitted that she is struggling with parenting her four children on her own. The SKIMS founder shares her children, Psalm, Chicago, Saint and North, with her ex-husband Kanye West.

As a single mom, Kim has found herself hiding in the bathroom from her children in order to take a work call. She shared, “I had a Zoom interview at the house with all my kids there banging on the door, just screaming, and I was literally hiding in a bathroom with the door locked. And I was just like, ‘I can’t believe this. I mean, I can believe it.'”

Kim also shared that she has a hard time being a strict parent and is more likely to let her children get their way so that they won’t cry. She knows that this is a problem but struggles to change her parenting style. She said, “I want to be more strict like Khloé but I don’t know why I have a hard time just saying, ‘No is no.’ I think I also don’t want to deal with the whining and the tears of not getting their way.”

She added that her children know how to manipulate her in order to get their way. She said, “They know when to con me and when to throw the little, you know, start with the tears so that I’m like, ‘Stop, stop. Sure. Take your iPad, you know, just stop.’ I just have to be like, ‘I don’t care if you’re gonna throw a tantrum in front of everyone. The answer is no.”

While many parents may struggle with knowing when and how to firmly say “no” to their children, that’s not the only problem Kim faces. As a single parent, she also struggles with being pulled in four different directions at the same time by her four children. She said, “Managing four kids in a household when they’re like, not getting along and they all want different things. And I’m only one person.”

Kim has an unusual way of getting her children to understand how difficult it is for her to attend to all of her children at the same time. When they’re all pulling her in different directions, she shared, “This always shuts them up. I always say, ‘Okay guys, do you want me to just cut myself in half or in fours and a part will go with you, a part would go with you,’ and they look at me like, ‘No, don’t ever do that!'”
