One year after finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, Tom Brady had a new love interest in his life. He met supermodel Irina Shayk in July at a wedding in Sardinia, Italy, when Joe Nahmad tied the knot with Madison Headrick. Sources say there was a spark between Brady and Shayk right away.

While in Italy, Brady invited Shayk to “fly out and meet up in Los Angeles.” She did. In August, the romance was still strong with Brady and Shayk reportedly spending the weekend together at the Twenty Two Hotel in London. Then in September, Shayk was spotted entering Brady’s apartment in New York City.

Now, in October, four months after they first met, sources claim Brady and Shayk’s relationship is over, but that there are no hard feelings. They claim the relationship simply “fizzled out.”

According to one source, “Irina was very attracted to Tom. She liked dating him. It excited her.” The source explained, “They had fun traveling to see each other. In the end, it kind of just fizzled.”

Long-distance dating can be complicated, and that seems to be part of what ended the relationship between Brady and Shayk. The source added, “They both keep having obligations, and it was getting more difficult to be in the same city at the same time.”

It seems that the decision to end the romance was mutual and didn’t involve any sort of dramatic breakup. The source explained, “Irina has nothing but great things to say about Tom.”

Another source who spoke to PEOPLE had very similar insight about the breakup claiming that the relationship between Brady and Shayk “just fizzled out” and that “there’s no drama.”

If only all breakups could be that drama free!
