Bode Miller Sad News

Olympic gold medalist skier Bode Miller has a total of six children with his wife, professional volleyball player Morgan Miller. The two older children are named Easton and Nash. The youngest is Scarlet, who was born in 2021. In between, there are twin boys Asher and Aksel, who were born in 2019. Tragically, one of their children, a daughter named Emeline, died after drowning in a swimming pool in 2018. She was only 19 months old at the time.

One can only imagine how tragic it is to lose a child, and recently, Morgan shared that they had a serious health scare involving their three youngest children, Scarlet, Asher and Aksel. It was all an innocent accident that went horribly wrong.

In a post on Instagram, Morgan shared a video of her children in the hospital. In order to explain what was going on in the video, she wrote, “Two weeks ago, we had a crane at our house to remove our broken hot tub. Asher, Aksel and Scarlet innocently stood on the front step of our house to watch the action.”

This sounds typical of children, being curious and wanting to see something interesting happen. As a parent, it doesn’t sound alarming to let your children stand on the front step of your house to watch something taking place in your yard. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a really bad idea.

Morgan explained that the children ended up “getting carbon monoxide poisoning due to the lack of airflow in our driveway landing them in the ER.” She added, “They were on high flow oxygen for over four hours. It was a terrifying experience but thanking my lucky stars they are okay.”

In a followup post a couple days later, Morgan shared a picture of her three youngest children with huge smiles on their faces. She wrote, “Thank you to everyone for all the love, kindness and well wishes. And a huge thank you to the nurses and doctors for their quick thinking. These 3 are full of smiles.”

Morgan has the comments turned off on her post with the hospital video, but in the comments on her photo of the children smiling, many followers shared in Morgan’s relief that her children are okay.
