Andrew Cuomo Being Sued For Sexual Assault

Disgraced ex-governor Andrew Cuomo has been accused of sexual misconduct by 11 different women. The allegations of misconduct prompted him to resign from the governor’s office back in 2021.

One of the women who has accused him of sexual misconduct is his former executive assistant when he was governor, Brittany Commisso. Commisso first reported the misconduct in 2021, and as a result, then Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul transferred her to other offices where her job was to answer the phone. She considered this reassignment a “demotion” as a result of her accusations about Cuomo.

Previously, Commisso accused Cuomo of groping her in the governor’s mansion. This accusation led to a misdemeanor criminal complaint being filed against Cuomo, but that case was ultimately dropped by the Albany district attorney in 2021.

Now, Commisso is trying again. One day before the New York Adult Survivors Act window closed, Commisso filed a new lawsuit against Cuomo. In this lawsuit, she claims that while she was Cuomo’s executive assistant, she was subjected to “humiliating and demeaning tasks, hugs, kisses, sexual touching of the buttocks and forcible touching of the breast.”

She told The New York Post, “It disgusts me that Andrew Cuomo is even considering running for public office in the wake of Mayor Adam’s alleged sexual harassment when he himself will not accept responsibility or even acknowledge his sexual harassment of me, aside from numerous other victims, while the governor of our state.”

Cuomo’s lawyer, Rita Glavin, doesn’t believe there is any validity to Commisso’s claims. She explained, “Ms. Commisso’s claims are provably false, which is why the Albany District Attorney dismissed the case two years ago after a thorough investigation.” She added, “Ms. Commisso’s transparent attempt at a cash grab will fail.  We look forward to seeing her in court.”

Do you believe Commisso’s allegations are true, or do you agree with Cuomo’s lawyer that she’s just after “a cash grab”?
