Amy Robach Feels Like “Collateral Damage” After News Of Her Affair Broke

Last month, GMA3 co-hosts Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were abruptly pulled off the air and have yet to return. The next day, they were noticeably absent from the show, and the show went on without them.

The reason for their suspension from GMA3 is due to their own private relationship that they had reportedly tried to keep out of the public eye as long as possible.

Robach and Holmes are dating, and when the scandal was first announced they were both technically still married; however, they were also both separated from their spouses. Robach was in the final stages of divorce from her husband, and since the scandal made headlines, Holmes also filed for divorce from his wife.

According to a source who spoke with The U.S. Sun, Robach did not expect her relationship with Holmes to do any damage to her life outside of her own marriage. The source explained, “She had no idea the scope of TJ’s alleged past office romances. She certainly did not foresee that their relationship was going to cause major upheaval – outside of her own marriage. She did not expect this to blow up into a scandal.”

This source is claiming that Robach didn’t know about Holmes’ past affairs, but a source for Page Six claims that this is at least partially not true.  This source claims that Holmes was “up front” with Robach about his previous relationship with producer Natasha Singh. Holmes was also accused of having an affair with an intern who was 13 years younger than him. No word if he told Robach about that or not.

Now, ABC is in discussions with lawyers separately representing Robach and Holmes. It’s possible that they won’t be on air again, but some sources believe that is unnecessary. One source explained, “These are two consenting adults, they did nothing wrong. There’s been no abuse of power here. These are co-host positions.”

A source told Page Six that Robach may still have a job when this is all over, but it’s less likely that things will work out for Holmes. The source explained, “They have not been terminated yet, but I don’t expect T.J. to be on again.” The source added, “They do want Amy to stay and be a part of things there, but likely not on ‘GMA3.’”

The good news is that now that their relationship is out in the open they don’t have to try to hide it anymore, and they haven’t been. In fact, they were caught traveling together over the holidays. Watch the video below for more details.
