Singer Health Update, Diagnosis Revealed
Singer Halsey took to instagram with a shocking caption, “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive,” they continued “Short story long, I wrote an album.”
Apparently the artist has been struggling privately with illness. Halsey shared this news on Tuesday with videos that seem like they are receiving infusions.
Halsey announced they have been diagnosed with both Lupus and a rare T-cell disorder. Also, according to a press release, Halsey is donating to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance.

“I feel like an old lady,” Halsey says while rubbing her legs with a pain stricken look. “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not gonna be sick and I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just gonna get to re-do my 20s in my 30s.”

Previously, Halsey has talked about being in poor health most of their adult life. In 2022, they disclosed their health was worse while pregnant with their son. They have mentioned being treated for Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, Sjogren’s syndrome and mast cell activation syndrome, per a BBC article.
Halsey, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane on September 29, 1994, is an American singer, songwriter, and activist. Rising to fame in the mid-2010s, Halsey became a significant figure in pop music, known for their exploration of personal and social issues through art.
Halsey rose to fame by posting cover songs on social media platforms, eventually gaining a following on Tumblr and YouTube. Their breakthrough came in 2014 when they uploaded their song “Ghost” to SoundCloud, which rapidly went viral. This led to a recording contract with Astralwerks, and the release of her debut EP, Room 93, later that year. In 2015, Halsey released her first studio album, Badlands.Halsey’s second album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (2017), went to number one on the Billboard 200.
The singer has a fifth album in the near future. They released a new song on Tuesday, called “The End.”
