In a post shared on Sunday July 14, 2024, LeBlanc posted several pictures of himself and Clark. While they were smiling in the pictures, the caption that accompanied the pictures was anything but happy.

LeBlanc wrote, “I’m sure none of you know but I recently almost died. I was in the hospital for 12 days. Unfortunately Natalie didn’t make it and she passed away.”

While LeBlanc did not mention why he was in the hospital or how Clark died, he mention mention how he will remember her. He wrote, “I will always remember how we got lost everywhere together. I will always love her and miss her.. Be safe and hold your loved ones tight you, never know when it’ll be the last time you see them.”

Many of the comments were from fans who offered their condolences, but some of the comments were from followers who were confused and wondered “what happened.”

Two days later, in a follow-up post, LeBlanc shared a video where he talked to the camera addressing the questions. He started by verifying that this was not some sort of publicity stunt but that Clark really did die.

LeBlanc said, “So, yes, Natalie did pass away. It is not some kind of way to get somebody to follow me or anything like that.”

Then, he explained what happened. He shared, “We ate oysters, and we both felt sick for a couple days. And then I woke up, and she was gone.”

He continued, “I spent 12 days in the hospital, and 8 days in ICU actually. I don’t remember much of it. I was pretty much out of it most of the time.”

LeBlanc also shared how he’s doing right now. He said, “I’m trying to figure my life out now and what’s next for me, so thank you for all your love and support to everyone who gave that.”

At the end up his video he apologized for “not getting back to” people who have messaged him. He explained, “I’m in a mourning phase right now, and I’m just trying to figure things out.”

According to PEOPLE, LeBlanc introduced Clark on his YouTube channel back in 2020, and she appeared on the channel off and on through the years.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “You can get very sick from eating raw oysters.” Even worse, “It is impossible to tell that an oyster is bad by looking at it.” In order to kill harmful bacteria, oysters need to be cooked properly.
