It’s one thing to watch a TV game show at home and guess the answers along with the contestants, wondering why they’re answering incorrectly. It’s another thing to be on stage in person actually playing the game show where the pressure is on and the cameras are pointed right at you.
A “Wheel of Fortune” contestant named Will knows all too well that it can be easy to get the wrong answer when you’re actually on the show. In fact, he made a hilarious mistake when trying to guess the answer to a question during the game show which aired November 11, 2024.
During the show, Will said that he wanted to try to solve the puzzle. Most of the letters were on the board, which means it shouldn’t be all that hard to guess the right answer.
Will’s guess was completely wrong. The words he guessed didn’t even have the correct number of letters in them to fill the spaces!
Will’s guess was “Treat yourself a round of sausage.” The correct answer, which was correctly guessed by the next contestant, Kitina, was actually “Give yourself a round of applause.”
Host Ryan Seacrest joked, “Will, I kind of like yours better.” He added, “That sounds better than just clapping right now.”
I’ve always been jealous of any of y’all who are able to TREAT YOURSELF A ROUND OF SAUSAGE almost every day. #WheelofFortune 😜 pic.twitter.com/ThjAPlX46u

After the show was over, social media consultant Maggie Sajak, the daughter of retired host Pat Sajak, talked to Will about his “missolve.” It sounds like he got a little nervous under the pressure of the show. He said, “When the lights are on, and you know, the stars and Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White… I just went blank.”
While Will didn’t win the show, he didn’t walk away empty handed. Ryan Seacret gave him his autograph on a cue card he found on stage. That’s sure to be a great memory from his experience on the show.
Will seemed to be taking his missolve well. He said, “I’m sure I’m gonna have sausages in my locker and police car when I get back, so we’ll try and have some fun with it.”
