Bride Complains That Her Wedding Dress Looks ‘Nothing Like Order’, Then Company Points Out That It’s Inside Out

With COVID-19 putting a damper on weddings this year, brides still wanted something to look forward to—like going to dress shopping. Of course, these days, shopping for a wedding dress can really only happen online. Gone are the days you’re getting strapped into a poofy number by a wedding consultant.

One recent bride named Deux Aubrey bought her wedding gown online and was so excited to try it on when it arrived. However, low and behold, it wasn’t quite the gorgeous frock she saw online. It looked completely different on her—and not in a good way.

Deux was pretty pissed. In fact, she decided to write an angry letter to the company about how they should really market their dresses better, because it looked nothing like what she imagined it would. She attached pictures and everything to prove her point.

The company did get back to her—and informed her that she was actually wearing her dress inside-out.

Oh.

Luckily, Deux has a sense of humor and decided that other people could probably benefit from this silly story. She took to Facebook to share what had happened to her.

“Who knew that they shipped wedding dresses inside out?” she asked. “The dress about turned out beautiful.”

“Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how much school we put behind us…we’re still going to lack common sense, like how to put clothes on properly,” she added.

The reason she didn’t notice it was inside out is actually a good one—she was so sleep deprived from working 16-24 hour shifts and having to go through finals week on top of it. “I have no idea about fashion or shipping measures for formal dresses. I wear scrubs and tactical boots for a living,” Aubrey said. “No, I am not a natural blonde but it fits the bill on this one. Hoping other brides can read this and not panic or get upset when their dress arrives in the mail.”

In the end, she’s glad it was a simple fix—especially with COVID-19 ruining so many wedding things for her already—and reminded us all to laugh at the silly moments like this one. “I’m glad you could join us with a light heart and laugh with us into that forever,” she said. “May your wedding ‘disasters’ be simple fixes or at least one day hysterical in retrospect too.”

Did you ever buy something online that didn’t end up looking the way you imagined? Or did you just have it on wrong?
