Pasta is one of those amazing comfort foods that many people truly love. Whether it’s homemade or at a restaurant, there’s something wonderful about digging into a bowl or plate full of pasta.

Another great thing about pasta is that there are so many different ways to prepare it. The pasta itself is simple enough to make. Boiling it in water is the traditional way, but what you mix into it after it is done cooking is where the flavor fun begins.

Perhaps your kids like their pasta simple with just butter or loaded with cheese. That’s easy enough. Perhaps you like pasta with an alfredo sauce or a tomato-based sauce. Perhaps you like to add meat or vegetables. It’s all good. Literally.

When we’re short on time or feeling lazy, we usually turn to one of our favorite store-bought pasta sauces. Sometimes we’re not in the mood to stand over a hot stove and mix up pasta sauce. Thankfully, there’s a new TikTok pasta recipe that makes a delicious pasta sauce, and it cooks in one pan in the oven.

Have you heard of the viral baked feta pasta recipe? It’s gone viral because it’s so easy to make, and it truly looks mouthwateringly delicious. The pasta itself isn’t anything special. You boil the pasta of your choice in salted water according to the package instructions. The sauce is where the flavor happens. We love how easily the ingredients mash up and mix together after being baked in the oven. It looks so easy. We can’t wait to try it!

Before we can make the sauce, we’ll need to make sure we have the right ingredients on hand. The sauce calls for:

  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 200 gram block of feta
  • 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil

This recipe is completely vegetarian as written, but if you’re a carnivore and want to add some meat to it, we think that would be okay. We would probably prepare chicken or shrimp, for example, separately and mix it into the feta mixture with the pasta at the end.

If you’re on a low-carb diet or if you’re gluten free, you could easily use your favorite pasta substitute in this recipe, like spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles.
